Wim Hof App Redesign: Cold Shower Challenge Experience

Project Overview:
We redesigned the Wim Hof Method App to help new users complete the Cold Shower Challenge with ease and encourage them to upgrade to a paid subscription. The original app presented too many choices without clear guidance, creating friction in onboarding and a drop in conversion.

1. User Research

We conducted usability audits, heuristics evaluations, and competitor benchmarking (e.g., Headspace, Calm) to identify key insights:

Users need fewer options at launch and clearer action steps

Aesthetic appeal creates tolerance for minor usability issues

Gamification improves retention (inspired by Headspace)
